About Dr. Mark Spaulding

     Mark Spaulding was born in Pittsburgh in the Alleghany Mountains of Pennsylvania, and from the cradle on, he was raised listening to music of every kind. From the deep Southern Gospel songs of Tennessee Ernie Ford, to the piano and strings of Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Bach and Beethoven, music was always an integral part of his life.
    As he grew older, Mark became involved full time in the music business which was his first love. At age fifteen Mark joined his first rock band in his hometown of Greenville. That was just the beginning of his musical career. Travelling around the country from Pa., to Florida, DC to Cleveland and beyond, he played in, started, and worked with many different rock groups.
     Mark finally settled down in Detroit, Michigan in the late-seventies with his wife Kathy, becoming the sound director of The Punch and Judy theater in Grosse Pointe, and started his own sound company.  His sound company worked with such well-known artists as: Johnny Winter, The Jam, The Clash, Devo, Journey, Pat Metheny,  Mose Allison, Captain Beefheart, Oregon, The Detroit Rockets, Michael Franks, and many others.
      During that time, he also fronted his own group as the drummer and lead vocalist. The band went through many names and personnel changes, until eventually becoming the lineup of the players, which would become his final band, BOLTS, which lasted nearly seven years. Working with four different talent agencies, the band played nightly in performance clubs and concert venues throughout Michigan and Canada.
     The Bolts first original single, THE REASON, became an instant hit when it received its initial airplay on WRIF radio in 1982 and promptly began selling out in record shops and music stores all over the metro-Detroit area. This drew the attention of the powers that be at Warner Brothers Records in Hollywood California. Bolts finally appeared to be on the way to greatness.
      But this life of Rock stardom was destined to come to an abrupt end in 1983, after Mark, through some God-directed, unusual circumstances, had an encounter with Jesus Christ. From that point in time, God stepped in and took control. It was the end of the rock & roll dream and the beginning of a new life completely dedicated to God. Wherever he went he took the good news of his Savior and brought the gospel to all who would be receptive. Soon after his born-again experience he decided to learn everything he could about the things of God and His Kingdom.  
     Mark enrolled in Central Bible College of the Assemblies of God for four years.  During this time he became a radio host, and personality, author, and lecturer traveling from coast to coast, speaking on a variety of topics from Space, to the Bible, and the spiritual warfare of everyday life.
     To reach a larger audience, he authored and created a newsletter, “The Light Warrior”, which circulated around the globe warning his readers about satanic,  dark influences affecting society. His knowledge and teachings of the Bible brought to full exposure many of the demonic deceptions being brought into the world through books, magazines, popular music and most importantly, the dark influences of the international entertainment industry.  His bringing these workings of evil to light continues to this day.
     Receiving ordinations from several Christian organizations throughout his life, Reverend Mark was finally presented with his Doctorate of Divinity in 2021 from Destiny Christian University in Winter Haven, Florida.
      Dr. Mark Spaulding continues to speak, write, sing, record music and present spiritual reality to the public. As he seeks to educate people about the things that matter the most, his main objective is exposing everyone to biblical TRUTH and honoring the Creator God.  
     Through all these mediums he remains in a constant battle to reveal the LIGHT and bring salvation to the lost on a daily basis, continuing to fight against the darkness, as he has done now for 40 years.
     This satanic attack on fallen humanity is not about to end any time soon, and neither will the continued efforts of Dr. Mark to expose everyone to the truth. The LIGHT WARRIOR will remain in service to the King Jesus who is the TRUTH.
    Finally, he believes it’s all about the most important things in life…to love God with all your heart, and love and serve mankind as the Bible commands us to do.
     Dr. Mark Spaulding remains ever committed to this end goal.
